Regragui's coaching career began in 2012 when he joined the Moroccan national team as an assistant under Rachid Taoussi. During his time as assistant, he played a pivotal role in the team's qualification for the 2013 African Cup of Nations.
After a successful stint as head coach of Fath Union Sport, Regragui returned to the national team setup in 2019, this time as manager of the Olympic team. Under his guidance, the Moroccan U-23 side reached the quarterfinals of the 2019 Africa U-23 Cup of Nations.
